Manchester United need to act swiftly in the summer transfer window to reinforce their squad and they are consistently linked with Alex Telles.
Few days back, RMC Sport‘s Mohamed Bouhafsi revealed that the Red Devils have agreed a long term contract to sign the Brazilian international from Porto.
The latest updates seem positive for the Premier League club. As per today’s version of O Jogo, Man United are prepared to tighten their grip and are getting ready to move in to sign the left back, who could cost (max) 23 million euros (£21million).
The renowned Portuguese media outlet claim that as per international press, Man United will move in with an offer to sign the 27-year-old defender.
According to The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano, the Old Trafford outfit consider making a move for the South American star.
Another well known source from Portugal, Jornal de Noticias, have reported today that Man United’s alleged interest in the Selecao player has not translated into any formal offer as yet but the Primeira Liga giants are expecting a proposal.
Telles will be out of contract next year and JN claim that Brahimi and Herrera left the club on a bosman and Porto want to avoid such a situation with their left back and would like to offload him this summer.
On Saturday, Manchester United started their new PL campaign with a 3-1 defeat at home against Crystal Palace and Shaw was at fault for the first goal.
On the other hand, the Liga Nos giants started their new league season with a 3-1 victory against Braga and Telles directly contributed in every goal for his team. The Brazilian star scored two from the spot and provided an assist as well.
So far, in 193 appearances for Porto, he has netted 26 goals and provided no fewer than 56 assists (Transfermarkt). Let’s hope Man United will soon make an offer to get his signing done.
