The Federal Government of Nigeria has given out a latest guideline rule for the new phase of containing the COVID-19 pandemic, which will start from May 4 {Monday} to May 17 {Sunday}, 2020.
Moreover, the guideline were signed by the secretary to the government of the federation, Mr Boss Mustapha. He stated that anyone without face mask in the public will be prosecuted.
However, the Rules were certain information to the general public. The secretary to the Government of the Federation Said, " Anyone whose present temperature is above 38ºC will be told to return home and call NCDC for evaluation.
He stated also, That Anyone without face mask will be prosecuted and returned Home. Anyone violating the rule in a non-emergency situation will be prosecuted and anyone attending a gathering of more than 20 will also be prosecuted.
His statement also stated a guideline for the simplicity of the lockdown in Ogun, Lagos, and FCT {Abuja}.
He said, "Following the improvement in the multi sectoral response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government has decided that there will be gradual easing of the lockdown in Lagos and Ogun State, as well as the Federal Capital Territory {Abuja}, From 4th May,2020 {Monday}.
The simplicity and easing of the lockdown will be distinguished by the mandatory use of non medical face mask for all person, while in public. Latex hand groves should not be worn, except for medical use or purpose.
It is also distinguished by the mandatory provision of hand washing or sanitizer in all public places.
All interstate travels is highly prohibited, except for essential travel services such as transport of relief items, agricultural product, goods and services related to health and COVID-19 response and also people on essential duties.
The Federal Government still retain the ban on all passenger flight and also on Religious Gathering.
Moreover, All schools remains closed until further Notice and evaluation. School are also encouraged to continue with e-learning and visual teaching.
