Dortmund have sent a fresh message to Manchester United over their pursuit of Jadon Sancho

Dortmund insist Jadon Sancho will not be allowed to leave this summer after revealing they are yet to receive a new bid from Manchester United for the winger.

The Red Devils last submitted a bid for Sancho in August but it fell well short of the Germans’ £108million valuation of the former Manchester City midfielder

Sancho is believed to be keen on a move to Old Trafford .

United felt they had made a breakthrough in negotiations last week after agreeing personal terms with the winger’s representatives.

However, with just three weeks left of the transfer window, Dortmund appear to have put a final nail into the coffin of United’s hopes after Sebastian Kehl, the club’s sporting director, said Sancho would stay at the club.

‘Jadon Sancho will play for Dortmund this season,’ said Kehl.

‘Manchester United have not submitted a new bid to sign him.’

United remain desperate to sign Sancho but they’re unwilling to pay £108m and feel that the pandemic has made such a figure impossible.

Dortmund, though, feel they are in a strong position and do not need to sale.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has drawn up a list of alternatives to Sancho, though his preference remains to sign the 20-year-old.

Gareth Bale heads United’s list but there remains considerable doubt whether a loan deal can be arranged for the Welshman due to his £600,000-a-week wages.

The 31-year-old is open to moving to Old Trafford but the likes of Ivan Perisic and Douglas Costa could prove more viable alternatives.
